Flooring, Countertops

The ADU is starting to show signs of life, with finish work giving it the appearance of an actually home. I laid the flooring, which took about 30 hours. We used luxury vinyl planking.

The cabinet "carcases" are in. The faces and shelves remain on the punchlist.

Next, came the countertops. I went to a warehourse that carries marble and granite slabs, and selected a wild and modestly priced kind from India. The warehouse refered me to a fabricator who picked up the slabs, took a template of the cabinet counters, then put them in place. We were able to create a backsplash using the marble as well. This saved me from having to tile that area, which I wasn't looking forward to.

Next comes the plumber and electrician....
